(Last Updated On: June 25, 2021)

Love science? MOTAT is inviting teachers to a special educator-only preview of its new exhibition LOVE/ SCIENCE in Auckland (with drinks and nibbles included!).

According to MOTAT: “LOVE / SCIENCE uses physical and digital interactives, highly engaging audio visuals and oral histories to tell each object’s compelling story. Students will see the journey from bamboo grove to bamboo bike, from golf cart to baby buggy, and from wool to surfing waves. Students will leave the exhibition with a greater understanding of New Zealand innovation and the Kiwi can-do spirit. LOVE / SCIENCE will inspire to create, design and reflect on what future technology might add to our communities.

“Our education team will be on hand to talk you through the how our STEM cell education programmes can be aligned to the LOVE / SCIENCE exhibition and to demonstrate how your students can get the best learning outcomes from a visit to MOTAT.”

Education programmes that the Love/Science exhibition will complement are:

  • Inventions and Innovations
  • Life Hack!
  • Simple Mechanisms
  • Hangarau – Technology in Aotearoa

The MOTAT STEAM Cells and learnable kits will also be on display and available for booking.

“Educators who attend the preview and book a school group to visit MOTAT in Term 4 2021 will receive free entry for their group. Minimum group size 60 students, with accompanying adults.”
