Entries open for the Great NZ Histories Student Game Design Competition

(Last Updated On: June 25, 2021)

Get designing and start building!

We’ve teamed up with game-making platform Gamefroot for a new student competition – and the winner gets to visit the Gamefroot team at its studio in Wellington.

The challenge for your students is to make a game that connects Digital Technologies (DT), literacy and your local curriculum into one kick-butt coding and creativity competition. The goal is for them to design and build using Gamefroot an interactive fiction game about something from the New Zealand history books.

Entries close at the end of Term 3.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We discovered a bug with the submission via clubs (so, if you’ve been having trouble entering that may be why). It’s all good now but please check out details at bit.ly/entrybugblog
