ULearn15 at SKYCITY – book your place!

(Last Updated On: March 20, 2015)

ulearn aucklandULearn, now in its fifteenth year, strives to push the boundaries of educational possibility and inspire educators. The conference runs over three days, and is held at SKYCITY Convention Centre in Auckland, on 7-9 October 2015.

A CORE Education flagship conference, ULearn, provides educators with a collaborative environment, opportunity to network and meet like-minded educators face-to-face, listen to educational leaders, gain knowledge and strategies and participate in hands-on, practical workshops.

The three day conference format follows five strands – Re-imagining learners and learning, Re-imagining teaching practice, Re-imagining leaders and leadership, Maori medium and Research. Each strand provides a variety of keynotes, spotlight speakers and breakout workshops.

This years keynote speakers are Grant Lichtman, Ann Lieberman and Pat Snedden. In addition we profile experienced spotlight presenters, and more than 230 breakout workshop options that you can select and book.

If you would like to facilitate your own workshop or presentation you can submit your own abstract for review. Share your experiences and teach others as part of your own learning journey. CORE is calling for abstracts now (close 18 May).

Immerse yourself in action-learning experiences with the one day hands-on preconference, ULearn Permission to Play (P2P). P2P will allow you to roll up your sleeves and discover how to create conditions for a maker culture in your learning spaces.

P2P is practical and hands-on, exploring the amazing ways to cultivate maker spaces and maker skills, by using technologies in innovative ways. Learn about robotics, Minecraft, 3D printing, design thinking, computer science, coding, website development, intelligent fabrics, stereoscopic virtual reality and more!

The cost of ULearn is $745 (inc GST), with P2P $250 (inc GST) – attend both and save $50. The Gala Dinner is a highlight of the conference (themed this year ‘On the high seas’) and is $80+gst. There are discounts for groups of 10 or more from the same school. Visit ULearn online for more information and to register.
