The Mind Lab has partnered with Unitec to offer a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Practice (Digital and Collaborative Learning). The 32-week part-time course is designed for teachers at all levels to build knowledge of emerging technologies and teaching methodologies, for immediate application in the classroom.

The inaugural programme began in July, with 100 teachers attending from a wide range of primary and secondary schools across Auckland.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the amount of enthusiasm and passion we are already experiencing,” said Frances Valintine, founder of The Mind Lab.

“This new and highly innovative postgraduate qualification offers a specialisation in digital and collaborative learning specifically for teachers. To apply for the programme, people will ideally be a teacher with either an undergraduate qualification or a Diploma in Education, with three or more years’ experience as a teacher.
