Microsoft is hosting a free training day on Thursday 13 October to help educators upskill, gain confidence, and learn how to implement digital tools into classroom practice.

Hosted at Microsoft HQ in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour), the day will include a selection of workshops from its training partners Using Technology Better, Cyclone, OMGTech! and impactED.
“This bootcamp is designed for teachers who are inexperienced with digital tools but are keen to learn in a safe and supportive environment,” said Conor McHoull. Microsoft NZ’s Learning Delivery Specialist. “From 3D printing to MakeCode, digital fabrication, and using Minecraft Education Edition to teach Aotearoa New Zealand histories, we have you covered.
“As well as awesome learning opportunities, there will be food, prizes, and giveaways. What’s not to love?
“As spaces are limited, we will be checking that all registrants meet the Provisionally Certified Teacher (PCT) criteria. Once spaces are filled, we will open a waiting list in case there are people who can no longer attend.”
If you’d like to attend or know someone who would, register at aka.ms/beginningteacherbootcamp
Registrations close 5pm on Tuesday 4 October.
