There are just 10 days until INTERFACEXpo 2021 kicks off at the Lincoln Event Centre on Friday 21 May, followed by events at Lower Hutt Events Centre (Tuesday 25 May) and The Trusts Arena, Auckland (Thursday 27 May). Preparations are coming together well and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone.
Our line-up of sponsors, speakers and workshops is finalised – see how they all fit togther on the day’s programme. As well as many familiar faces, there are several new names joining us this year, including BEarena, Canon, FlexiCommercial, VR Voom, Bricks4Kidz, and impactED.
The event is free for school educators to attend. If you’ve already booked your spot, we look forward to seeing you. If not, there are a few places still available. You can find out more and register at interfacexpo.nz/register2021/.
During the day, hear from Sir Ian Taylor, who will be talking about Mātauranga, a new teaching resource he’s helped to create, and much more. Explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and coding are making their mark in classrooms. And discover how language, culture and identity is being brought to life through Minecraft.
You can choose from workshops covering a wide range of e-learning topics, from video annotation to teaching with the Microsoft Surface, making sense of Arduino coding to the Tahi Rua Toru Tech Challenge. Plus, during the breaks, explore the exhibition area, where you’ll have the chance to meet with industry experts, get hands-on with the latest products, and network with like-minded educators.
And, finally, at the end of it all, enjoy a drink with us and be in to win some awesome prizes, including a Kai’s Clan Starter Pack (valued at $1695), Scapegrace Classic Gin, morning tea for your staffroom, and a Razor E Prime Scooter.
After the COVID-impacted year we’ve had, don’t miss this chance to catch up with friends, colleagues, and the wider digital learning community. You’ll come away with ideas and inspiration for what opportunities lies ahead, and specific information on how to implement these.
It’s always an informative and enjoyable day. See you there.
Ngā mihi
