The Rubber Duck Awards 2021 is a competition challenging kaiako, training teachers, teachers on leave, relievers, ākonga, tamariki,and rangatahi of Canterbury to share local stories through game design.

There are two online huis being held to launch the competition, which is designed for Senior Leaders or kaiako who would “like to try something new in their curriculum in 2021”.

These are on Thursday 18 February and Friday 19 February. Participants will receive:

• Rubber Duck swag to get started;
• An understanding of how to bring stories to life with Digital Technologies;
• A head start at the look of the Rubber Duck competition; and
• More confidence to try new things across the curriculum.

The Rubber Duck Awards 2021 are in honour of the mahi of Gerard MacManus.
