According to the UNOCHA, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced more than 110 countries to shut down their education systems in an attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus.

The United Nations says 102 of them have nationwide closures that have impacted 850 million children; another 11 countries have localised shutdowns, which affects 10s of millions more students.
