Today is Internet Safety Day – a day dedicated to promoting a safer online world and inspiring conversation and discussion about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

A good place to start is Netsafe’s Safer Internet Day site (netsafe.org.nz/safer-internet-day) where you’ll find a collection of resources to get you started, including 5 Online Safety Tips.
To coincide with Safer Internet Day, Netsafe is also releasing the full Ngā taiohi matihiko o Aotearoa – New Zealand Kids Online study. The research shows a quarter of New Zealand kids were bothered or upset by something they experienced online.
