Microsoft is running a series of after-school workshops to learn about using Minecraft: Education Edition.

“Educators around the world are working hard to equip their students with skills to meet this challenge,” said Microsoft’s Otako Kaufusi. “Minecraft: Education Edition is a powerful tool you can use to engage students and ignite their passion for learning while building 21st century skills. Join us for an after-school workshop that will enable you to leverage Minecraft Education as a vehicle for learning in your classroom with this hands-on introductory session.”
And that’s not all, those participating will be among the first in the world to explore the new Minecraft world of Nga- Motu.

No prior Minecraft experience is necessary but you’ll need Minecraft: Education Edition installed – it’s free to download at aka.ms/download. Workshops run 4-6pm and will be held at various locations around the country, from Kerikeri High School on 16 September to St Andrews College on 12 November.
