New Era IT and Ministry host Cloud Transformation Seminars

New-Era-logoOn Wednesday 4 April at Bayfield High School, New Era IT in partnership with the Ministry of Education will be begin a series of seminars focused on the Schools’ Cloud Transformation Project.

“Providing a discussion around Digital Transformation and the benefits for schools, the sessions will give educators the opportunity to learn about the project and hear about the outcomes from pilot schools,” said New Era IT. “The Ministry of Education’s Chief Information Officer, Stuart Wakefield will outline the progress so far and the rationale behind a move to the cloud. New Era IT will then demonstrate its work on the Cloud Transformation Project so far and how schools can ensure that their strategic vision is aligned with technical practicalities for students and teachers.

Dunedin guest speaker

Unique to the Dunedin event is the inclusion of Tony Gilbert Snr (right), ex school Principal, Otago and All Blacks coach who will touch on the importance of collaborative decision making and data driven decisions. He will be supported by the CIO of the MoE, Stuart Wakefield and Tony Gilbert (Jnr), who has recently moved back to Dunedin after time as a Deputy Principal and Senior Leader at New Era IT.
