More locations for The Mind Lab’s postgrad course

(Last Updated On: March 15, 2018)

TMLU Postgrad Image 2The Mind Lab by Unitec is taking its Postgraduate Certificate programme to more educators around the country in 2018. For the next intake, kicking off in March, it has announced over 10 new potential locations across the North and South Island. To date, the programme has been in 30+ locations around the country.

Throughout February and into March The Mind Lab team are running hands-on, free pop-up labs at different locations. These give educators the opportunity to hear The Mind Lab story, gain a greater understanding of the programme including what makes it unique, and ask any burning questions. Designed to suit all levels of educator from early childhood right through to tertiary, the programme is flexible to enable full-time work alongside part-time study, focuses on building capabilities as a 21st century educator, and is NZQA-accredited.

Dr David Parsons, National Postgraduate Director of The Mind Lab, says now more than ever professional learning and development in education is vital.

“Now is the time for teachers to prepare for digital technologies to be integrated into the New Zealand Curriculum & Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.”

All of those who are interested in the programme or The Mind Lab can secure their place at a pop-up lab via The Mind Lab’s website under ‘Pop-Up Labs’. Friends or colleagues are welcome provided the team is notified in advance.
