Calling all coders … Dive into our competition!

(Last Updated On: March 17, 2017)

Want to give your students a tough but engaging coding challenge? We’ve teamed up with The Mind Lab to put together a cunning Scratch-based competition – we provide the template and your students then add their code to finish the own unique game.

The theme is ‘Clean Our Ocean’. The aim is to program the diver character to save the fish by collecting the rubbish. There are three categories, each with a similar game scenario but starting from templates of differing complexity:

  • Beginner: Years 3 to 5
  • Interemdiate: Years 6 and 7
  • Advanced: Years 8 to 10

Simply download the appropriate template from the competition page. Then upload it to your Scratch account and start coding your own game – before sending the link back to us. Entries will be scored on the proficiency of the coding and game creativity.

Be in to win!

Each category winner will receive a Ranger Drone with HD Camera for their classroom.

Entries close end of Term 2.

Download your template and enter here.
