“Zaption has recently announced that it will shut down on 30 September. Many of you will know that a lot of time and energy went into integrating the Zaption tool into eTV. Many teachers have invested time in creating quizzes and lessons for their students and to lose it now is both frustrating and disappointing for us all,” writes Kerry Leaf, Learning Resources Manager.
“The good news is that we are now building our own eTV interactive video lesson tools that will replace Zaption completely. The new tools will be integrated into the eTV website and will become a permanent part of our service! There will even be some new features that were not available in Zaption.
“You will be able to continue to use in eTV, after the shutdown, any Zaption lessons already created. All you need to do is to download your Zaption lessons by following the instructions on the Zaption FAQ page (zaption.com/faq). We are now building a new tool that will enable you to then upload that lesson to eTV where you will be able to use it for as long as you want. This tool is not yet ready but will be placed onto eTV before the close down of Zaption. We recommend that you download your Zaption lessons sooner rather than later.”
