CLNZ Education Awards 2016: Get ready to make your choices

(Last Updated On: )

copyright licensing logoThe CLNZ Education Awards 2016 are a celebration of excellent educational resources released by New Zealand companies in the past year that support quality teaching and student learning both here and overseas.

While there will be a panel of educational experts judging entries, the Education Awards wouldn’t be the same without in-classroom teachers having their say, too. That’s why teachers around the country will be asked to cast their vote in the ‘Teachers Choice’ category for the nominated educational resources that they find the most useful in their classrooms.

“We’re very proud of the work New Zealand resource developers are doing in education,” said Paula Browning, CEO of CLNZ. “The Education Awards have a strong tradition of recognising those that are doing something new and responsive to meet the needs of students and teachers. The Teachers’ Choice awards use the hands-on experience of classroom teachers to recognise the new resources that teachers themselves find most helpful in their teaching practice.”

Take part and you could win

The Education Awards ceremony will take place on 23 November, 2016, where both judges and Teachers Choice winners will be announced. Teachers Choice categories include Best Resource in Primary Education, Secondary Education and Te Reo Ma-ori.

Teachers Choice voting opens online on 14 September and closes 12 October. If you take part, you and your school could also win! Cast your vote and:

  • your school goes in the draw to win one of five $200 book tokens for your school library
  • you go in the draw to win one of five $100 book tokens for your own personal use
