Introducing HP’s Stream Notebooks

HP streambook 2HP has unveiled its Stream Notebooks. The company explains:

“Designed for busy classrooms and multiple users, the new HP Stream Notebooks let you store your content in the cloud for easy access and extra piece of mind when backing up work. Available with 11 and 13.3-inch screens, they offer up to 6.4 hours of battery life, allowing students to move and work free of power cords. These devices also also make group projects and collaboration easier with 60 minutes of Skype per month included.

“Stream Notebooks come with full Windows 8.1, so you can run all your usual Windows apps. A one-year Office 365 Personal subscription is included, as well, offering access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook. In terms grunt, there’s a 2.16 GHz dual-core Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB hard-drive, in addition to unlimited Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage for one year. They have two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, so there’s no need to limit and prioritise your USB connections.

“Available from education resellers, the HP Stream Notebooks start from $449 RRP.”
