‘Sustainable Seas’: INTERFACE Student Minecraft Competition 2025 We’re up and running for this year’s INTERFACE Student Minecraft Competition. Once again, we’ve teamed up with the Marine Stewardship Council and have a new assignment for our young Minecrafters to tackle called ‘Sustainable Seas’. The challenge is to build an environment that keeps fishing sustainable and ensures clean and pollution-free seas. Come up with the design within our guidelines, construct it in Minecraft and record a short, 3-minute video tour. There are some great prizes and bragging rights as the best Minecrafters in the land!

The Safer Technologies for Schools (ST4S) initiative has released a comprehensive AI module that introduces new expectations and controls for vendors offering AI-enabled services to schools in New Zealand. This gives schools and venders a practical, nationally coordinated way to evaluate the risks and responsibilities that come with AI in education.
Bringing farming alive in a Minecraft world Going down on the farm has taken on a whole new meaning with Mātiki Minecraft, a game developed by a team of agricultural and horticultural science advisory teachers.It complements new study units they created for New Zealand Year 7-10 students’ science and agricultural curriculum.
