Issue 108, September 2021

Welcome to the September issue of INTERFACE Magazine.

The latest COVID lockdown meant we faced major obstacles to printing and mailing your favourite magazine. So, to ensure the September issue reaches you wherever you are in New Zealand, we’ve gone digital again.

As your school subscribes, you and all school staff are receiving this exclusive access to a digital copy in lieu of a printed magazine.

Inside this issue, we explore the challenges of engaging girls with STEM subjects. Read how teacher ran almost a marathon around his school to promote cyber safety, how a LEGO robotics team builds its way to national success and why The Mind Lab is launching Micro-Credentials. We investigate whether gaming could be as good as going to the gym and how a student design competition got political.
