INTERFACE Awards – ‘Best Coding Project’.

Welcome to the entry form for the ‘Best Coding Project’ category in this year’s INTERFACE Awards.

Fill in your details and tell us about your coding project in the four sections provided. Answers are limited to around 300 words, so keep your explanations concise and to the point. If you have any problems, don’t hesitate to contact us – – and we’ll do our best to help out.

What is a ‘Coding Project?

By this we mean any activity you organised or took part in that involved computer programming with your students/class. It could be anything from an online activity (like the Hour of Code) or learning to write a programming language, to robotics and creating games or apps – and everything in between.

WIN Five Raspberry Pi’s

The winner will receive a certificate and winner’s logo, plus an invitation to be profiled INTERFACE Magazine. And that’s not all. They’ll also get their hands on a set of five Raspberry Pi starter sets – to help them to continue their programming journey!

Judging criteria for ‘Best Coding Project’

Your entry will be judged by the following criteria. There are 100 points available – the weighting for each category is also indicated.

Criteria Judges will assess Points available
Outcomes The effectiveness of the coding project and the way it’s used in meeting its goals, and the overall benefits to you and/or your students.

Implementation Your ability to effectively and successfully introduce and use the activity.

Innovation The creativity and imagination involved in the project

Challenges How you overcame obstacles, identified opportunities and benefits, and used your skills to make the project a success.

The top five scoring entries will be names as finalists in this year’s awards. INTERFACE readers will be invited to vote for their favourite finalist. The votes will score 10 points for the most popular, 8 points for the second most popular, and 6, 4 and 2 points for the other three places. These scores will be added to the judges’ scores for the final totals.

The winner will be notified directly and announced in the December issue of INTERFACE Magazine.

Entry is now closed. Thanks for entering and good luck!
